The wedding consultant will
determine your needs, style, and most importantly your
budget. Your budget should include the fee structure of the
wedding consultant as well as all expenses for the
wedding.
If you
want to be in complete control of every detail of your
wedding, a wedding consultant may not work for you. If you
decide to plan your own wedding, you should make a list of
all possible vendors and a budget for each category. Then
you should get an estimate for the same thing from each
vendor. Once you have narrowed your search, face to face
interviews should be arranged. Always make sure to get
everything in writing from each vendor you have chosen. If
both you and your fiancé work together to make decisions,
you both will be happy with the results.

Brides Against Breast
Cancer
Making Memories is a charitable, non-profit
organization, similar to "Make A Wish(r)" for children, but founded for
the express purpose of granting memory-making events and last wishes to
women and men who suffer from metastatic breast cancer. Making Memories
is able to grant these wishes by selling wedding gowns that have been
donated by manufacturers, bridal shops and individuals from across the
nation and from seven countries around the world. It is our intention to
make a difference in the lives of those suffering from this devastating
disease, and to help put the realities of this terminal illness aside,
for just a few days, while providing the opportunity for a family to
spend quality time together. Our hope is that every metastatic breast
cancer patient experiencing the final stage of life be able to pass from
this world comforted with the joy of having left their families a final
beautiful memory, something their family will look back on and remember
for a lifetime!
Oprah Winfrey donated two hundred and fifty thousand dollars worth of
Demetrios wedding gowns when she surprised Co-Founder, Fran Hansen on
her show as one of Oprah's Angels. As seen in two issues of Redbook
Magazine, Making Memories travels across the country setting up wedding
gown sales called "Brides Against Breast Cancer" Nationwide Tour of
Gowns. (We have also been noted in Newsweek, Family Circle, Women's Day,
Martha Stewart's Winter Weddings, Shape, Organic Style and Philanthropy
World Magazine.)
Sacramento's "Brides Against Brides Breast Cancer" charitable gown sale
will take place Friday February 9, 10 am - 8 pm & Saturday February 10,
10 am -6 pm.
